REED TO HOLD PROMISED 75TH PUBLIC TOWN HALL MEETING; Congressman calls input “essential” to representation

Aug 14, 2012

Congressman Tom Reed will fulfill a promise he made to voters when he holds his 75th public town hall meeting this Saturday.  Reed has conducted 73 public town hall meetings thus far during his term and will hold two more on Saturday in Allegany and Cattaraugus counties.

“I’m here to listen,” Reed said. “Some of the best ideas we take to Washington have come from the many public town hall meetings we have done. Many of my colleagues do not hold town halls, but I think that they are essential to being a good representative.”

Reed will hold town hall meetings this Saturday, August 18 at 10:00AM at Portville Elementary School, 500 Elm Street, Portville, and at 1:00PM at Short Tract Fire Hall, 10300 County Road 15, Fillmore.
