CONGRESSMAN AUSTRIA VOTES IN FAVOR OF MIDDLE CLASS TAX RELIEF

Washington, D.C. –Today, Congressman Steve Austria (R–Beavercreek) voted in support of H.R. 3630, the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act. Included in this legislation is an extension of the current reduced payroll tax rates for working families, job creation incentives, such as the Keystone XL Pipeline, and a fix to ensure Doctors are adequately compensated for treating our seniors.

“We are facing an economic crisis that threatens our national security and our children’s future. We need a solution that reflects real efforts towards reversing the out-of-control spending in this country, and focuses on creating the sustainable jobs that are needed to grow our economy,” said Congressman Austria. “This bill will help to ease the burden on hardworking families by extending reduced tax rates and creating job incentives without raiding the Social Security Trust Fund and cutting discretionary spending by over $80 billion in the next ten years,” said Congressman Austria.

Included in this bill is a provision that will directly impact the creation of private sector jobs by requiring the President to issue a permit for the Keystone XL pipeline unless it is otherwise determined that the pipeline would not serve the national interest.
