Westmoreland Honors National Constitution Day

By Rep. Lynn Westmoreland

September 17, 2012

225 years ago, the Constitution of the United States of America was signed and adopted at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In honor of our nation’s greatest document, today has been declared as National Constitution Day so that we may never take for granted the liberties our forefathers fought for so that we may live prosperous and free. The Constitution is our country’s cornerstone, ensuring that we have limited government, free markets, religious freedom, and the opportunity for everyone to build a better life. I encourage everyone to take a moment to read the Constitution and reflect upon the words that gave us the most successful democracy in the world.
