- As co-chairman of the Congressional Shipbuilding Caucus, I am looking forward to taking part in the christening of the MINNESOTA (SSN 783), our tenth Virginia-class submarine, at a ceremony this weekend in Newport News. Our Navy is the greatest in the world, and the expertise of our shipbuilding industrial base is second to none. Congratulations to the U.S. Navy and the great folks at Hungtington Ingalls in Newport News.
