Last week, Anderson's Riverfield Little League 11-12 Softball team won the Central Region Tournament and secured a spot in the Little League Softball World Series in Portland, Ore., to play their first game on August 9. Also, the New Castle 11-12 Baseball team won the Indiana State tournament and will go to the Great Lakes Regional Tournament in Indianapolis, with games starting this Friday. The winner of this tournament will travel to the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pa. Congratulations Anderson softball and New Castle baseball players! We're proud of your accomplishments and wish you success!
