Congressman Flake Votes to Repeal Obamacare

Congress Must Replace Obamacare With a Plan Employing Choice and Competition to Improve Quality and Control Costs

Washington, D.C., Jul 11 - Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today voted in favor of H.R. 6079, which would repeal Obamacare outright as well as related provisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act.

“With the Supreme Court’s ruling, it’s now up to Congress to repeal this troubling law,” said Flake. “But Congress needs to go several steps further than just repealing Obamacare to actually fix our broken healthcare system. Going forward, Congress must put in place a plan for healthcare that is empowered by the free market and grants Americans access to affordable care and control of their healthcare dollars.

“Just as much as taxpayers don’t deserve the full burdensome effects of this law, they do deserve healthcare reforms that actually improve quality and control costs.”
