Off-load for artillery training at Camp Fuji

Marines and sailors move an M777A2 155mm howitzer into position for it to be properly loaded onto a trailer in preparation for the convoy here Nov. 7. The howitzers were transported from Camp Hansen, Okinawa to Camp Fuji, Japan for Artillery Relocation Training Program 12-3. The Marines and sailors taking part in ARTP 12-3 are with Mike Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. This exercise is part of regularly-scheduled, routine training that promotes regional stability and security by allowing units stationed on Okinawa to improve their ability to support III MEF's role in the defense of Japan under the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security.
