Through hard work, my staff was able to reunite a young Sudanese woman who was trapped in a refugee camp in Sudan with her family in Illinois. Initially, she was unable to join her family in the United States but we worked with the State Department and UNHCR to get the job done, and I was grateful to meet with the young woman and her family on Sunday.
