Community honors hometown war heroELLWOOD CITY -- Coincidentally, the ceremony to recognize Vietnam War Medal of Honor recipient Leslie Sabo was held on the front steps of Christ Presbyterian Church, where Sabo attended Sunday school as a child. Jason Altmire, D-4, McCandless Township, who participated in the legislative effort to ensure that Sabo received the U.S. military's highest award for combat valor, said the coincidence was appropriate.
