- Great news: Arkansas Medicare recipients have saved nearly $42 million on discounted drugs and preventive services since the Affordable Care Act was enacted. In 2012 alone, Arkansas seniors affected by the prescription drug “doughnut hole” saved an average of $592, and 250,000 individuals received preventive services.
