Congressman Steve Womack was the keynote speaker at Tyson’s 2012 Veterans Day Celebration today.

Tyson Foods’ annual Veterans Day event is sponsored by Tyson’s Veterans Business Resource Group for military veterans employed at the company’s corporate offices.  The company is the leading supplier of food to the Defense Commissary Agency and has been helping feed the U.S. military and their families for more than 50 years.  

“Veterans Day is a day to honor all men and women in uniform for their selfless service and devotion to duty, honor, and country.  Our nation owes no greater debt of gratitude than the one we owe our veterans,” Womack said. "As a 30-year veteran of the United States Army National Guard, I understand the challenges these men and women face when returning home, and I commend Tyson Foods for its commitment to employing and helping over 25,000 of our veterans find jobs.”
