Katie Strayer, of the commanding general’s mounted color guard, riding Lexington, carries roses, one red and one yellow, to be presented to the spouses of the outgoing commander of the 4th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, Col. Frank Y. Rangel, Jr., and the incoming commander, 4th MEB, 1st ID, Col. James F. Reckard III. Standing by to receive the flowers are ceremony ushers, Private 1st Class Claudia Huerta, 512th Military Police company, 92nd Military Police Battalion, 4th MEB, 1st ID, who presented the red roses to Mrs. Robin Rangel, and Sgt. James Conger, 94th Signal company, 193rd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th MEB, 1st ID, who presented the yellow roses to Mrs. Marla Reckard, July 18.
