CONGRESSMAN BERG COMMEMORATES THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE 9/11 ATTACKS

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Rick Berg issued the followed statement to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.

“Today we honor and remember those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, in New York City, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  Tracy and I extend our condolences and deepest sympathy to their families, friends and loved ones.  We will never forget the tragic loss of life, nor will we forget the selfless effort of the brave firefighters, police, first responders, and the everyday heroes who displayed the true character of what it means to be an American on that day.

“We also express our gratitude to the brave men and women of the Armed Forces and intelligence agencies who stepped forward to defend our nation in the wake of such unspeakable tragedy.  I ask all North Dakotans to join me in honoring the memory of that fateful day by taking a moment to reflect those who lost their lives and that above all else, we will always stand tall as proud, united Americans.”
