Marines execute a security halt while on patrol during Exercise Croix du Sud at Camp la Broche on New Caledonia Oct. 13. While on patrol the platoon took contact multiple times and found one improvised explosive device. The Marines participating are with 1st platoon, Company G, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment which is currently attached to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force under the unit deployment program.
