Congressman Flake Spotlights Egregious Earmark of the Week
$550,000 for Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab Research

Republican Congressman Jeff Flake, who represents Arizona’s Sixth District, today highlighted a pork project contained in the omnibus spending bill for fiscal year 2009, which the House of Representatives passed last week.
This week’s egregious earmark: $550,000 for Chesapeake Bay blue crab research in Annapolis, Maryland.
“Taxpayers are already feeling blue, but now they’ll really be feeling the pinch,” said Flake.
