Rep Walberg Votes to Spur Job Creation and Lower Energy Prices

Washington, D.C. - Rep Tim Walberg voted today in favor of H.R. 4480, the Domestic Energy and Jobs Act.   The legislation is an all-of-the-above American energy plan that will help job creators by embracing domestic energy production, reining in burdensome regulations and planning for America’s future energy production.  The bill passed by a bipartisan vote of 248 to 163.

Specifically, H.R. 4480 is a package of seven bills that will increase onshore energy production, streamline the leasing and permitting process, prevent the Obama Administration from imposing new onerous regulations, and require an extensive review of the impact of the Environmental Protection Agency’s rules on energy prices and job creation before their implementation.

“This bill is about job creation and the belief that American energy equals American jobs.  With each discovery of American energy comes the need for more manufacturers, engineers, leasing specialists and rig operators.  My colleagues and I remain committed to an all-of-the-above energy plan, utilizing the abundance of energy resources in our own backyard, creating jobs and growing the economy,” commented Rep Tim Walberg.
