Army Reserve Soldiers from the 401st Quartermaster Detachment out of Lock Haven, Pa., arrived at Long Beach, N.Y., Nov. 6 to help coordinate relief efforts in communities hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy. The 401st pumped water out of a flooded boiler room at Long Beach High School, then performed the same service for a local recreational center. The 401st will continue similar operations in the coming weeks.
