Thank you for the fabulous event in Flat Rock. We had a great time canoeing down the Huron River. Added bonus having the ROC Restaurant selling slices of pizz...a. We were able to pack a few slices and enjoy it on the River after we worked up an appetite. We will be proudly wearing our new life jackets. See More

There is no pictures of all the fallen trees in the river from kent lake to ore lake. The river is a mess with more and more trees falling in making it almost i...mpossibe to boat not alone be able to fish. They need to start doing something about it. The more trees that fall in the highter the river goes up and washes more trees in. The river is higher that I ever seen it this time a year. The water can't make it through the mess. Please help lets get out there and do something. I have been on the river for over 50 years. It was a beautiful place to fish. Now a mess of trees. Sorry for the rant but It make me sick knowing what it was like yeats ago See More

Ann Arbor and it's surrounding Huron River would not be what it is today with HRWC! I thank them every time I am reminded by a story that was a disaster avoided by the HRWC involvement ... Thanks HRWC!

This is a great breakthrough on the Gelman pollution case and for environmental NGOs in the state. We need to be a part of these conversations representing our members' interests and finding effective solutions.

Potential future remedies for the Gelman dioxane plume won't be just a product of legal negotiations between the state and the polluter.

It's amazing what 154 volunteers can accomplish with good weather. We thank all of them for collecting samples, which allow us to study changes in water quality over time through our annual River Roundup event. Check out the results here.

Thanks to 154 volunteers who contributed approximately 600 volunteer hours, the October 2016 River Roundup was a great success! As always, HRWC 100% guarantees good weather for its volunteer events or your money back. We were once again able to fulfill that promise!

Not enough is being done to clean-up this contamination or understand where it is moving and its impact on the river. Therefore, HRWC is taking legal action to intervene in the discussions.

A hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 15.
