Star catcher with a 16 year career, but probably best known as "Uncle Robbie", the manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1914 to 1931. According to Wikipedia, the team's knickname, "the Robins", was a reference to Robinson. Joined the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945.
