George McAneny, president of the New York City Board of Alderman from 1914-1916, was Acting Mayor during the Atlantic Fleet and Naval Review activities of May, 1915.

The Wyoming was the flagship of the Fleet, under the command of Admiral Frank F. Fletcher. Here, Acting Mayor George McAneny, his secretary Theodore Rousseau, and Docks Commissioner R.A.C. Smith leave the police boat Patrol to welcome the Admiral on the morning of May 8, 1915.
