The nation’s oldest and largest taxpayer group has awarded Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) with the “Taxpayers’ Friend Award” for his work in the 111^th Congress. For the fourth year in a row, Lamborn has scored an “A” with the National Taxpayers Union (NTU).

Lamborn's 91 percent rating is based on every roll call vote affecting fiscal policy – appropriations, authorizations, and tax bills; budget target resolutions; amendments; and certain regulatory or procedural legislation that could affect overburdened taxpayers.

“At a time when our federal debt is increasing by more than $54,000 every second, we must rein in spending. Obama’s deficits are a huge drag on the economy.
