Air Force Life Cycle Management Center
July 2012 saw numerous changes in unit organization, as the the Aerospace Sustainment Directorate was deactivated and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center -- one of five centers under Air Force Materiel Command -- was activated. The center is responsible for the total life cycle management of Air Force weapon systems. The former ASD offices have remained in place, but now report to different executive offices at the AFLCMC:
-- The C-5 Division, C-17 Division and Tactical Air Division report to the Mobility Directorate. (Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio)
-- The F-15 Division reports to the Fighters/Bombers Directorate. (Wright-Patterson AFB)
-- The Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery Division, Predator/Reaper Branch and U-2 Division report to the ISR/SOF Directorate. (Wright-Patterson AFB)
-- The Support Equipment and Vehicles Division, Automatic Test Equipment Division and Electronic Warfare and Avionics Division each report to the Agile Combat Support Directorate. (Wright-Patterson AFB)
-- The Specialized Management Division reports to the Armament Directorate (Eglin AFB, Fla.)
-- The Command & Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and JSTARS program offices report to the Battle Management Directorate. (Hanscom AFB, Mass.)

The Automatic Test Systems Division is responsible for worldwide integrated weapon systems management for Automatic Test Systems. The division manages more than 45,000 items valued at $3.5 billion. It procures, modifies, and is responsible for all types of repair for more than 200 test systems/sub systems supporting all major weapon systems in the USAF inventory.

The Command & Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division provides support to all weapons systems in its portfolio. ISR functions are principal elements of the United States' defense capabilities and includes a wide variety of systems for collecting, processing and disseminating intelligence needed by national security decision makers and military commanders.

Provides integrated weapon system management and sustainment activities for F-15 aircraft. Performs financial analysis and provides fiscal leadership across the F-15 enterprise. Also provides overall engineering authority for the F-15A-E models.

Provides worldwide, cradle-to-grave logistics and program management for C-5 aircraft in coordination with major commands, AFMC depots, sources of supply, repair centers, product centers and users to sustain mission effectiveness throughout the system's life cycle.

The Intelligence Division is the Center-level authority for intelligence sensitive managed programs/projects by providing intelligence acquisition, top secret SCI communications, and special security support management to Robins and its tenants.

The Tactical Airlift Division is the single focal point for cradle-to-grave management of the C-130 weapons system and for the USAF C-27J sustainment. Responsible for acquisition, engineering, logistics, safety, wartime sustainment support and weapon system readiness for more than 800 DoD and 640 FMS aircrafts. Manages aircraft depot maintenance planning and upgrade execution for USAF and international partners. Annual budget exceeds $2.9 billion. |

Provides management and support of high priority DOD/USAF programs and projects. The division provides a full range of integrated logistics support to operational commands and supporting agencies on advanced technology systems of the highest national interest by providing US forces with the winning edge in war fighting capability through the acquisition and sustainment of special programs. |

The Special Operations Forces/Personnel Recovery Division provides cradle-to-grave acquisition and sustainment for all USAF helicopters and special operations forces and personnel recovery fixed-wing aircraft. Directs development, testing, and fielding of new systems to meet operational requirements. Provides depot maintenance, modification, repair, engineering services, and contracting support for all fielded systems. |

Support Equipment and Vehicles Division is responsible for providing support equipment and vehicles to combatants. The division supports a wide variety of items including Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE), propulsion equipment, Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resources (BEAR), life support systems, and a range of vehicles from common passenger vans to Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) special combat vehicle. |

Electronic Warfare and Avionics is responsible for software support for 460 systems installed on or supporting 60 models of aircraft. EW and Common Avionics facilities consist of over 150,000 square feet of electronic/computer work area. |
