Boustany Announces Grant for Le Gros Memorial Airport

Lafayette, LA – U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr., MD (R-South Louisiana) announced a grant totaling $511,125 to the Acadia Parish Police Jury for improvements to the Le Gros Memorial Airport. The Federal Aviation Administration grant will fund drainage improvements to alleviate storm water runoff.

“Our transportation infrastructure is vital to economic growth in South Louisiana,” Boustany said. “This grant will improve drainage and strengthen the basic infrastructure of the Le Gros Memorial Airport. I applaud the Acadia Parish Police Jury for their support of the airport and their vision to make these improvements."

“The continued support and assistance of Congressman Boustany is essential for the expansion of services at LeGros Memorial Airport,” said Terry Lacombe, Secretary-Treasurer of the Acadia Parish Police Jury.  “Congressman Boustany has played an integral role in establishing a relationship with the FAA that has allowed Acadia Parish to obtain funding each year for airport improvements. This project proves that the efforts of the Congressman provides results.”
