Chapel Services

At Grand Forks AFB, the Chaplain Corps offers Catholic and Protestant worship services each week. A number of other places for worship are located in the nearby communities. If we can't meet your faith needs, we are confident we can help you to connect with someone in the local area who can.

In addition to worship and spiritual formation programs, choirs, Bible studies, and other opportunities for faith growth, your chaplain also offers a listening ear. Anything shared with a chaplain in a confidential setting is considered "privileged communication" and can never be revealed to any other source without your expressed permission. No other Air Force agency offers this total privilege.

Catholic Services

Located in the Sunflower Chapel at 1699 J Street (Building 124)

Reconciliation: Sunday at 8:30 a.m.

Mass: Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Adoration takes place the first Friday of every month at 5 p.m.

Rite of Christian Initiation (adults)/Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (children & youth): September-May, Sundays at 10:30 a.m.

Protestant Services

Located in Prairie Rose Chapel at 345 Tuskegee Airmen Blvd. (Building 208)

Contemporary worship service is held every Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed: Protestant educational program for toddlers through teens; Thursdays at 5:45 p.m.

Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) - Women's Bible Study; Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Prairie Rose Chapel and Mondays from 6:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m.

Other Services

Sven's Den
Visit and relax at Sven's Den, located at the Prairie Rose Chapel.

Sven's Den offers big-screen TV's, movies on a wall projector, Nintendo Wii console and games, massage chair, popcorn machine, hotdog machine, cappuccino maker and full-sized kitchen.

Sven's Den is open during duty hours, or later by reservation.

Sven's Kitchen
This kitchen, located in the Sunflower Chapel provides and place for all Airmen to gather to learn how to cook and to share meals together. Call for more information.
