Reaction of U.S. Rep. Judy Biggert to Being Voted Among the Most Bipartisan Members of the U.S. House

Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Judy Biggert (R-IL-13th) issued the following statement after The Hill newspaper published a story in which she was voted by her fellow lawmakers to be among the 10 most bipartisan GOP lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives:

“I’m very grateful to my friends on both sides of the aisle who have worked with me over the years to advance common-sense, bipartisan policies.  Like I’ve always said, I’ll vote with them when they’re right and vote against them when their wrong.  It’s not a party issue.  It’s about creating solutions that work.  Whether it’s on the Missing and Exploited Children’s Caucus or the Science and Technology Committee, we always craft the best legislation when members from both sides of the aisle contribute their expertise and sound ideas.  Unfortunately, House leaders don’t always allow such an open process, but I will continue to work hard to bring members from both sides together to address the challenges Americans are facing.”
