Camp Congratulates Kim and Paul White as Angels in Adoption™
Wednesday, September 12, 2012
The White family in Washington, DC accepted Angels in Adoption award.
In June of 2010, the Whites and their three sons warmly welcomed a young boy named Eric into their hearts and lives. This past spring, after Eric had been a member of the family for two years, Kim and Paul were excited to make it official through adoption. While there were challenges along the way, including a lengthy court proceeding, the White’s faith guided them and their desire to ensure he remained in their safe, loving and permanent home. With this love and support, Kim and Paul continue to care for all of their sons and maintain a healthy relationship with Eric’s birth mother. In her nomination letter, Midland County Probate and Family Court Judge Dorene Allen said of the Whites, “But for these two wonderful people and their children, who were absolutely on board, this child would have had an extremely difficult life. He is now totally embraced by this family and the community. I cannot recommend them enough.” The Angels in Adoption™ program is CCAI’s signature public awareness campaign and provides an opportunity for all members of the U.S. Congress to honor the work of their constituents who enrich the lives of foster children and orphans in the United States and abroad. CCAI does not receive any government funding and they rely on the generous support of foundations, corporations, and individuals to accomplish their mission.
