Since August, community members, parents, and school leaders have discussed our current level of performance and how to build a bridge to our preferred future.  These efforts have resulted in a strategic plan.  On Tuesday, February 19 the Strategic Plan was launched in front of a large crowd in Mount Airy Middle School's media center. Community members, business leaders, parents, staff and students learned of the district's vision, mission, values and priorities.  Schools also had students take a moment to read their mission statements. These pieces will guide Mount Airy City Schools over the next few years.
