Rep Walberg Responds to President's 2013 Budget Proposal

Washington, D.C. - Today, the President released his FY2013 Budget proposal.  The $3.8 trillion budget marks the fourth consecutive year deficits have been over a trillion dollars.

In response to the President’s budget, Congressman Tim Walberg released the following statement:

“President Obama promised change and he gave us change—change for the worse.  He promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term, but this budget in another reminder of the President’s insincerity on tackling our fiscal crisis. What our economy needs is less spending, taxing and borrowing, not more.  American families are looking to their government for leadership, and just because the President won’t pass a responsible budget doesn’t mean the House won’t.  I look forward to joining my colleagues in passing a budget that will bring down our debt, create an environment in which the private-sector can thrive, and help create jobs.”
