Representative Denham’s Statement On House Passage Of 2 Week Continuing Resolution

Washington, DC– Representative Jeff Denham today released the following statement on the U.S. House of Representatives passage of the 2 week Continuing Resolution that brings us one step closer to removing barriers to job growth:

“Today, the House of Representatives passed a two week spending bill that makes $4 billion in cuts.  While this represents one step in the right direction to removing barriers to job growth, it is not the long-term solution that the American people deserve.

“There will be many tough cuts and hard decisions to make in the coming weeks and months, but we need to reduce spending and get our fiscal house in order.  In order to protect the future of our kids and grandkids, we must take the tough choices that we were elected to make. We must show the leadership needed and get our government moving in the right, fiscally responsible direction, and put people back to work.” – Rep. Jeff Denham
