“We need, as a people, to come together and start saying: Stop wasting our money….This is science way ahead of the market.”

Washington, D.C. — Last night, U.S. Representative Mike Kelly (PA-03) appeared on Fox News with Neil Cavuto to discuss President Obama’s plan to increase tax subsidies for electric vehicles from $7,500 to $10,000. The increase was included in the president’s 2013 budget proposal and could cost taxpayers $10 billion if the president’s goal of putting one million electric vehicles on the road by 2015 is reached.

Last December, Rep. Kelly introduced legislation (H.R. 3768) to repeal the $7,500 tax credit for plug-in electric drive vehicles. To learn more about Rep. Kelly’s bill, click here.
