On Wednesday, September 19, 2012, the House is scheduled to consider H.R. 6375, a bill To authorize certain Department of Veterans Affairs major medical facility projects and leases, to amend title 38, United States Code, to extend certain authorities of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, under a suspension of the rules requiring a two-thirds majority vote for approval.  The bill was introduced on September 11, 2012, by Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL) and referred to the Committees on Veterans Affairs and Budget. 

H.R. 6375 would extend certain expiring provisions and authorizes a number of Department of Veterans Affairs construction projects.  Specifically, the bill would authorize the construction of major medical facilities in Seattle, WA, Dallas, TX, and Miami, FL.  The bill would also authorize appropriations for such facilities for fiscal year 2013.
