Hinsdale, IL —As part of McDonald’s National Hiring Day, Rep. Judy Biggert tried her hands at a “McJob” yesterday at McDonald’s Spring Road Restaurant, 1120 W. 22nd St. in Oak Brook.

Biggert worked behind the counter and operated the drive-thru to highlight job opportunities in the 13th district, according to a statement.

During McDonald’s National Hiring Day, the company sought to hire 50,000 employees at close to 14,000 McDonald’s restaurants nationwide. The McDonald’s restaurant she worked at is across from McDonald’s U.S. headquarters in Oak Brook.

“I’m pleased to do whatever I can to help support job growth in our community,” Rep. Biggert said prior to taking her shift. “I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like behind the counter.”

McDonald’s showcased a variety of job opportunities in Oak Brook, where McDonald’s has its global headquarters.
