I am proud to serve the people of Maryland in the United States House of Representatives.

    About
  1. Yesterday's election affords President Obama the opportunity to continue the critical work he started four years ago, and I am tremendously proud of our President and the American people for reaffirming their commitment to keep our country moving forward.

I, like the President, am convinced that the best is yet to come for us all. There is still much to do, but I am so honored and humbled that...
my constituents in Maryland’s 7th Congressional District voted to allow me to continue to be part of this movement.

I believe our priorities moving forward are clear, and remain unchanged: get Americans back to work, continue supporting our economy’s recovery, promote and protect educational access, and get back to the business of serving ALL Americans. I hope that Republicans return committed to the same goals and ready to work – and put partisanship aside.

We must not drop the baton; not on our watch.
