LANCE ADDRESSES NEARLY 300 NEW JERSEY ACTIVISTS AT HANDS OFF MY HEALTHCARE RALLY ON CAPITOL HILL

WASHINGTON – Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07) today spoke to several hundred New Jersey residents on Capitol Hill regarding the Supreme Court’s current consideration of the constitutionality of ObamaCare.  The Garden State residents were in Washington, DC participating in the national “Hands Off My Healthcare Rally.”

“I firmly believe we must end ObamaCare," Lance told a group of nearly 300 New Jersey citizen activists on Capitol Hill.  "Only through repeal of the President's health care law can we pursue real reforms that will lower costs, expand access and grow jobs.  Regardless of the Supreme Court's final deliberations I will continue my fight to repeal ObamaCare.”

For his part, Congressman Leonard Lance supports replacing the health care law with common-sense fiscally responsible reforms that will lower health care costs, expand access and grow jobs.

These reforms include allowing insurance to be sold across state lines, improving health savings accounts (HSAs), establishing Association Health Plans (AHP) insurance pools, prohibiting insurance companies from discriminating on the basis of pre-existing conditions and enacting real medical malpractice reform.

“We were proud and honored to have Congressman Leonard Lance join us today,” said Mayor Steve Lonegan, the New Jersey state director of Americans for Prosperity.  “Eleven years ago when I took on the State of New Jersey in the practice of borrowing money without the approval of voters, one legislator stood with me and that was Leonard Lance.  More than a decade later Leonard Lance once again stands with me on behalf of the New Jersey taxpayers in support of repealing ObamaCare."

As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Health Subcommittee Congressman Lance is on the frontlines in the fight against ObamaCare, voting 26 times to either fully repeal, defund, or dismantle portions of the President's health care law.
