This is the methodology (known as the GROW model) I use to set and reach my goals. It's easy to understand, straightforward to apply and thorough.
Goals - What do I need to achieve? Where do I want to be?
Reality - What is happening now? How far away I am from my goals?
Options - What can I do? What are my opportunities for development?
Way Forward - How and when will I do it? How will I sustain success?
I used it in 2012 for Google+ and I'll do the same for 2013.
