A person's individual merit is not enough to allow that person to reach his full potential.
How many intelligent, potentially highly productive members of society, get left out in the cold, travelling a life path that sees them ask "would you like fries with that", just because their parents couldn't afford to send them to college? Despite working hard in his inner city high school, without a government aided sponsorship, he will not meet his potential. Is it the kid's fault he didn't meet his potential?
This is not a fair and equal society based on the merits of individual action.
Laissez faire does not solve this basic problem with inequality. The problem of starting economic position.
And before you ask; yes. I think the kid deserves the chance at university education, no matter what. He should only fail due to his own actions, not the shortcoming of society. Not his lack of access to the market, or his inability to take part in it due to circumstances outside of his control.
As for charity under coercion.. no, I think there will be more charity.. in fact.. i think if we go in this free market direction, charity will be the only thing left holding the world up and away from descending into a Judge Dredd style, dystopian future.
1984, with it's three, all-encompassing, 'conglomerates' controlling the world, turning war into a cyclical business.. is a certainty, IMHO, of the eventual conclusion of Free Market Capitalism.

- Android (Apps)For some really cool customization of your phone, I recommend getting Launcher Pro from the Play Store. It's my favorite "launcher". Two of my favorite Launcher Pro features:
- Change the icon grid size. For example, you can change so that your screens have 5 icons wide by 9 icons tall, which looks great on my 960x540 HTC Amaze.
- Turn off icon labels.

I've got it and I used it up until the ICS update on my Bionic. It's a good launcher. Some of the other members have posted that the developer hasn't updated for a very long time and they are right. I think after more than a year of inactivity, we can declare Federico Carnales legally dead. Here's an open letter to him that Raveesh Bhalla of Phandroid wrote to / about him:

If you are thinking about a new phone, here is a list I've been working on since 2010 to help people plan a phone purchase. Comparison list of past, current, and rumored mid- to high- end Android phones for all four main US carriers as well as overseas and rumored phones [at the bottom]. Goal is to help you have more information to choose the right phone for you. Note: in this chart green means good.

Thanks for telling me about your experience with sprint. My preferred carrier is t-mobile and Sprint #2. I've heard horror stories about all carriers and ranked them on my phone list the way you see because I heard the worst about at&t and verizon. I also figured in pricing.
