+Francis Ma posted last month about the new functionality in the Google+ mobile SDKs to allow Android and iOS developers to include a deep link in the shares from their applications.

I'm really pleased to say that +Shazam have released the latest version of their apps on iOS with the ability to share to Google+. Now, when a user taps the link from a Shazam share in the Google+ iOS app they'll be taken straight to the Shazam app, or to the Apple App Store where they can install it.

If you're interested in adding deeplinking to your own app, there's much more in the developer docs for the Google+ mobile SDKs on both Android and iOS (http://goo.gl/8wSAr). To see deeplinks in action, install the Shazam app from the Apple App Store and give it a go (http://goo.gl/3clSK)!

The official Google+ Developers community is up and running. This community is all about you! Join to meet other developers using the Google+ platform, share your development tips and tricks, challenges, or just keep up to date on the latest news about the Google+ platform.

Google+ Communities are still pretty new, so we're going to be learning as we go. The Google+ Developer Relations team is going to be moderating this community to remove spam -- but ultimately this is your community, so how it runs and what it contains is entirely up to you guys!

This is pretty cool and it has so many possibilities.  I already some people using communities to ask and answer programming questions instead of other sites.  I can easily see with an update to communities making it possible to do things such as meetup.com style on Google+.  Google is seriously a one stop shop for everything you could need personally and professionally.

Mobile developers can now deep link to content in their app from Google+.

Francis Ma originally shared this post:
Posts can now deep link to content inside your mobile app

Hello Android and iOS developers! Now when a user shares a favorite song or story from your app to Google+, their stream post can include a deep link to that piece of content. Clicking the link either:

- Opens your app, and goes directly to the story (for instance), or
- Redirects to Google Play or the App Store to encourage download

Check out our developer docs to learn more about the Google+ mobile SDKs, and today's launch of deep links on Android and iOS. (http://goo.gl/8wSAr). You can also download Pulse News from Google Play to see deep links in action (http://goo.gl/Jzyfu), or read more about it on our blog (http://goo.gl/bwo14)!
