+Isis Ford my Note 8.0 has been my primary word processor (for drafting documents) as well. Personally, I find Jotter Pad to be better than any low distraction word processing app on Windows. It works with markdown so it's perfect for drafting blog posts.
Other than that the 8 inch tablet has also been my primary Web researching tool, thanks to its multi window and inking feature. I can research Web pages, documents and videos for hours on end without straining my back. This is something I couldn't do when was still using laptops for the purpose.
Granted it hasn't replaced my laptop full time but it's edging closer to 90% for my personal use cases. 

There are few simple reasons why Samsung tablets suck
1. Touchwiz
2. Hardwere buttons
3. They are ugly

Sounds like you are on the right path now +Sarah Bradberry . There is actually no reason why mobile/tablet CTR can't be as high or higher than desktop. It really does depend on the site.
I'm helping a publisher at the moment who's mobile CTR is several times higher than desktop.
