Rep. Cummings Requests GAO Investigation of “Pharmacy Compounders” After Deadly Meningitis Outbreak

Washington, DC – In light of the recent meningitis outbreak, Congressman Elijah E. Cummings, as the top democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, wrote Tuesday to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to request an investigation of the pharmacy compounding industry and its oversight by federal and state agencies nationwide.
