(Washington, DC)  – Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D. (R-South Louisiana), released the following statement after Acadiana C.A.R.E.S. Inc., received a grant of $215,017.00 through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance (CoC) competitive programs:

“This is wonderful news for the Acadiana C.A.R.E.S. organization. The organization provides permanent supportive housing for people with disabilities. HUD’s CoC programs help to fund housing organizations targeting underserved populations. Funds are awarded in an annual national competition, and I am proud to see a grant of this size awarded to a local organization in Lafayette.”
