  1. Looking forward to continuing the fight for marriage equality with my colleagues, especially Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin who will become the first openly gay U.S. Senator in America's history at the start of next year.

    • how interesting that Obama won, the Democratic Party increased their senate majority and yet the republicans kept their majority in the house of representatives and most of the tea party nutjobs got reelected. i think it is time for David Axelrod and the rest of the Obama political team to figure out how to tackle the republican's vastly superior skills at jerrymandering so that we can get back to having a congress that averages scores on the psychopath checklist at least slightly lower than the residents of Western State Hospital - and if we were to take Congressman McDermott out of the calculation those numbers would be a lot more alarming!

  3. Today I presented Dan and Annie Wilson with the “2012 Angel in Adoption” award. Dan and his wife Annie have done outstanding work in raising awareness for the millions of children around the world in need of safe, loving homes. They also have two adopted children of their own.
