Rehberg Statement on Anniversary of the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Montana’s Congressman, Denny Rehberg today issued the following statement commemorating the seventh anniversary of the terrorist attacks in the morning of September 11, 2001.

“Today, Montanans join the rest of the nation to remember the tragic events that etched an otherwise normal Tuesday morning into our national psyche forever.  On September 11, 2001, 19 hijackers used four commercial airliners to murder almost 3,000 people.  I join with all Americans in remembering those who lost their lives, and their family members, not just on this solemn day but every day that we enjoy the freedom paid for by American sacrifice.  In the seven years that have passed since that day, there have been no attacks on our soil.  Yet, we must remain vigilant and we must continue to stand fast against those who would perpetrate further violence against America.”
