Adobe ID FAQ

You need an Adobe ID to do any of the following:

• Activate CS6 software.
• Download products, services, and apps from the Creative Cloud.
• Download trials.
• Register for events and register products.
• Use Adobe Connect, Adobe Revel, and other subscription-based products.
• View your order history and the status of your orders.
  

Your Adobe ID and information associated with it, such as your personal data, are safe. Adobe does not sell or divulge your information.

Go to the Sign In page to do the following:

• Create an Adobe account. Supply an Adobe ID (usually your email address) and a password of your choice.
• Recover forgotten IDs and passwords. The Sign In page has the links “Did you forget your Adobe ID?” and “Did you forget your password?” Click them for assistance. If you are unsuccessful, the Sign In page leads you directly to Support.

Go to the Adobe.com Sign In page, then make and save your changes.

• To get on a mailing list or be removed from it, click My Preferences.
• To change your password, screen name, payment method, and other personal data, use the links under My Information.
  

Try these solutions:

• Retype your Adobe ID and password, making sure that Caps Lock and Num Lock are off.
• Allow cookies on your browser. See your browser documentation.
• If your network uses a proxy server to make clients anonymous, try disabling it before signing in. Or, type www.adobe.com directly into the address bar before you sign in.

Note: If you no longer have access to the email address you used for your Adobe ID, contact us for assistance. 

Either you have more than one Adobe ID, or you have mistyped your password. For assistance on resetting your password, contact us.

Go to the Sign In page and change your Adobe ID. Under My Information, click My Adobe ID.

It's necessary that screen names are unique. Try adding a number or letter to the screen name.

You can’t log in while traveling in embargoed countries: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria.

Go to the Sign In page and change your Adobe ID to your email address.

You already created an Adobe ID account that uses that email address as the Adobe ID. If you can’t remember the password, click “Did you forget your password” in the Sign In page.

If you have more than one Adobe ID, perhaps you are using the password for the other Adobe ID. If you forgot your password, click “Did you forget your password?”

You cannot merge or delete an Adobe ID account, including an Adobe Volume Licensing (AVL) account, on your own. Contact us to submit your request. Be prepared with your Adobe ID, or IDs if you have multiple accounts.
