  1. Ten years ago today the world lost a dedicated progressive leader, Senator Paul Wellstone. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have had the opportunity to travel with Senator Wellstone in his final weeks to meet with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community, and proudly continue to work toward our shared vision of a more progressive world.

    •  An open letter to all American Politicians OK people it's time to get serious. You've celebrated, you've sworn, but now you need to wake up. Nothing has changed. The Republicans still control the House of Representatives, the Democrats still control the Senate and President Obama has a second term. There was no significant shift last night. There's a reason for this. The American People don't want a government dominated by one party. What we want is for the two parties to get along and find compromise. "My way or the highway" politics doesn't work. You need to find your common ground and go from there. We are in this together. So stop acting like children with the "MINE!" attitude and start acting like adults. I'm reminded of a picture I recently saw on reddit.com. It was two kids (a brother and sister) in their "we will get along T-shirt". Well guess what? The American people have just put you in the "we will get along government". And you had better learn to get along because you do not want to get a time out. We are watching you. http://imgur.com/LKN56

    • Once again, the people of the USA have failed to look into the future with Obama as President. Respect for our country has fallen in the past 4 years, economy, etc. has fallen and we are in for more hardships. WHAT IS OBAMA WORKING UNDER THE TABLE WITH THE UNITED NATIONS FOR? HOW CAN HE CONTINUE TO REDUCE OUR DEFENSE PROGRAM AND PROMISE PUTIN THAT OUR DEFENSE WOULD BE REDUCED SO MUCH THAT WE WOULDN'T STAND A CHANCE TO PROTECT OURSELVES? THE DEMOCRATS NEED TO WAKE UP AND STAND UP FOR US AND NOT FOR A PARTICULAR PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations about your re-elcetion Congressman Honda! I was wondering if you had any news regarding requesting Presidential Inauguration tickets for President Obama's 2nd Inauguration. I would really appreciate any help you could provide in trying to obtain these tickets.

  3. A new PSA campaign addresses the more than 80% of high school students in the U.S. who report that they witness bullying once a week, according to new research by DoSomething.org. As Founder and Chair of the Congressional Anti-Bullying Caucus, I am proud to support this effort. Find out more at: http://tinyurl.com/ctj3l3u

GBT community, but allies as well. We’re supposed to be a country of equality that honors and celebrates the love of all committed couples. My wedding day was among the happiest in my life, and these beloved memories are experiences I wish for all couples, regardless of sexual orientation. The NOH8 photographs are all about keeping the conversation going, so that no voice is silenced, and our country can have a vibrant and meaningful discussion about the values we all share.
