Congratulations to Jefferson Elementary School in Gallup for winning the nationwide “Colorful Classrooms Contest.” Jefferson will receive 200 gallons of Glidden paint to completely makeover their school and a community celebration for all o...f their efforts. My office locations are available here:- Had a powerful discussion about the importance of physical education and safety in youth sports with Las Cruces area students and parents, who shared first-hand experiences dealing with concussions and sports-related injuries. Our student athletes in New Mexico are among the best in the nation, and I am committed to making sure they are competing in the safest environments with the most reliable equipment possible.

- As the suns sets on a great visit to Northeastern New Mexico, I am reminded of how honored I am to represent these communities in the Senate. I heard from a lot of people, from Tucumcari to Mosquero and Clayton to Raton, about the challenges we face, and I look forward to going back to work to keep their economies alive and well.

Proud to celebrate the completion of US 64/87, the Ports-to-Plains Corridor, from Clayton to Raton. Since my days in the House I've been a staunch supporter of making this trade route safe and reliable. Infrastructure projects like this are...important investments for our future, and the value of economic activity in Northeastern New Mexico will be powerful and ongoing as a result. - Pleasure to be back with the good people of Union County. Here in Clayton we met with Southwestern Electric Co-op officials who are utilizing USDA funds to implement smart grid technology in rural areas. Projects like this will help improve service and keep electric rates low for Southwestern customers.
