Former Mississippi Governor Nominated to be Secretary of the Navy

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Thad Cochran (R-MS) today issued the following statement expressing his support for the nomination of former Mississippi Governor Ray Mabus to be Secretary of the Navy:

"The President has made a good choice in nominating Ray Mabus to be Secretary of the Navy. He is well qualified for this position and I hope the nomination will move expeditiously through the Senate."
