I am pleased to report that the Diaper Drive we coordinated in conjunction with St. Mary’s Food Bank was a resounding success! Thanks to your donations, we have raised hundreds of pounds of diapers, baby materials and even food for those in
need in our community. Every item collected will be donated directly to St. Mary’s Food Bank of Phoenix, and I am proud of the great response.
I believe that we have also done more than just collect baby items to be donated; we have helped to spread the word about this often overlooked problem. Many families need assistance with baby necessities for their newborns, and diapers and other sanitary items are often donated on a very small scale compared to food. Please consider this the next time you take a moment to donate items to those in need through food banks, shelters, churches, or other collection agencies.
