Congressman Charles W. Boustany, Jr., M.D., (R-South Louisiana) issued the following statement after voting in favor of the Disaster Relief Appropriations Act 2012, H.R. 3672: 

“This bill ensures families and communities hit by natural disasters receive the necessary recovery assistance. The legislation provides FEMA with emergency disaster relief funding and is offset by an across-the-board cut in federal programs. Disaster relief funding includes assistance for emergency declarations, major disasters, surge operations, and disaster readiness support. This legislation provides for services desperately needed in the aftermath of natural disasters.”
