Vilonia student’s artwork goes to Washington

Dallin [Duke], the son of Shelly and Sean Duke of Vilonia, won first place in the 2012 Congressional Art Competition, representing the 2nd Congressional District. Dallin won two tickets to Washington to attend a national awards ceremony June 20 and see his art displayed, along with those from other districts.... Fifty-five entries were displayed and judged last week in the Hendrix College art building in Conway, and the awards were announced Monday at a reception and presented by U.S. Rep. Air Force seeks upgrade ideas
