Sen. Paul Issues Dear Colleague Letters Urging Members to Join His Push to Cut Foreign Aid
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Sen. Rand Paul today issued a Dear Colleague letter to Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, in which he urged them to pass a bill cutting all foreign aid to any country that fails to secure our embassies, as well as, demanding accountability from the countries of Pakistan, Egypt, and Libya, that were recently involved in the violence directed at our embassies. He issued a similar letter to his colleagues in the Senate, underlining his intention to filibuster any pending legislation until the Senate addresses these matters. -

Senate Democrat Leadership Denies Sen. Paul Brief Debate and Vote on Ending Aid to Pakistan
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Last night, Sen. Rand Paul once again requested that Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid (Nev.) provide a brief amount of time for debate and a vote on Sen. Paul's amendment to end U.S. aid to the government of Pakistan for their detainment of Dr. Shakil Afridi. Sen. Reid blocked Sen. Paul's attempt to allow a vote on his Pakistan amendment, as well as a new amendment cutting funding to Egypt and Libya pending the discovery and release to FBI authorities the perpetrators of Tuesday's attacks on our U.S. consulate and U.S. embassy. The two amendments introduced this evening are 2783 and 2815, respectively. -
